Fully aligning with the Category B Biological Substance transportation requirements, the UN3373 transport box has been developed with additional strength and security features to guarantee the utmost safety during the transportation of diagnostic samples. It complies with packing instruction P650 and meets the regulatory specifications set out by both the IATA and ADR.

When sending diagnostic samples for testing, investigation and analysis, after the point of sample collection, the packaging in which a diagnostic sample is inserted must consist of three vital components. These diagnostic sample components are an essential factor of regulatory compliance, and can be broken down into:

A rigid outer packaging

UN3373 transport box: outer requirements
Outer packaging must safeguard contents against conditions such as vibration, temperature fluctuations, humidity, and pressure changes. Additionally, when mailing UN3373 Category B materials, one surface of the outer packaging must have a minimum dimension of 100mm x 100mm (4″ x 4″), ensuring compliance with UN3373 standards.
